Infinite Concept
Season name - Incursion/Expedition


Revolves around the UNSC forces on Zeta Halo now having a central fortified base of operations. It has been decided to start sending out Spartan Fireteams to secure locations further out on Zeta Halo. (Operational support provided by Laurette from MP or Lasky?)

Alternative - The Spirit of Fire has emerged from a slip space rupture just outside of Zeta Halo, unaware of the current situation but detecting friendly’s on Zeta Halo they meet up with remaining forces and are brought up to speed on the situation. Now outfitted with the spirit of fires resources the UNSC forces on Zeta Halo are sending out fireteams to secure locations further out on Zeta Halo.

New Armor Core - Expedition Core/Mark IV (If Alternative story is used)

New Mode - Incursion’s/Expeditions
Spartan Fireteams cross over into unknown territory in order to complete high priority objectives and clear out territory for UNSC forces.

Design


⁃ Work together as a team to complete objectives, once a objective is complete you can return to base or choose to continue deeper into enemy territory and face tougher foes in exchange for a greater reward.
⁃ If 1st objective is failed then there is no reward. If players choose to continue on to the 2nd objective and then fail they lose the reward from the second objective and a small portion from their first objective adding to risk/reward of continuing on.
⁃ 3rd Area/Objective will always consist of 2 parts. A objective and a boss battle. (Or a extraction/holdout?)

Introduction


⁃ Cutscene plays out showing fire team entering the AO by pelican flyby with spartans hot dropping in (Similar to how chief drops into open world area from the pelican/could also make it similar to how the OG COD Warzone intro is and have Spartans drop in from a higher altitude and super hero land into the mission)-

Objectives are randomized depending on where Spartans are deployed.

-Banished Fortress
-Forerunner Installation
(Can be added onto with other biome environments such as Deserts, Coastlines, Arctic Tundras, also into the outer space around Zeta Halo on to Banished Ships)
(Can also make infested variants of environments if flood is reintroduced)

Rewards

⁃ Battlepass/Challenge XP (via Daily/Weekly Challenges or via completion, Could also be both?)
⁃ Progression XP (Once Added)
⁃ Cosmetics (Tied to new challenge system)

Additional Ideas
⁃ Add community progression to the game mode for the season (If X points are earned by the community then the story goes one way, if the community fails then the story goes another way)
